White Snow Days
Boomer's Thoughts on the White Stuff From the Sky
This week something wonderful happened: the sky threw biscuits.
Well...that's what I thought at first. Turns out it was snow. Still exciting.
The Morning Inspection
When I stepped outside the first time, the ground had changed colour and temperature. I sniffed it, tasted it (for scientific purposes), and then did a small zoom.
Other visiting dogs did zooms too. Snow seems to have that effect.
The Snowball Issue
There is, however, a design flaw with snow:
It sticks to fur.
Especially between the toes.
Which leads to the famous “paw flick” dance.
Please assist by towel.
Walkies in Winter
Walks are still brilliant in snow, just a bit different. Here are my observations:
- Humans walk slower They say it's "slippery". We say it's an opportunity to overtake.
- Smells get interesting Snow keeps scents fresh and neatly organised. Nose heaven.
- Warm naps afterwards are mandatory. Preferably on a blanket that isn't meant for dogs.
A Small Practical Note
For any doggies staying at Pawsies in winter:
- dry coats help
- regular paw checks help
- and keeping the heating on helps morale (especially mine)
Final Thought
Snow days remind me that life can change overnight in the best possible way — one minute grass, next minute magic.
If you see snow, try a zoom. If you’re cold, ask for a cuddle. And if you’re me, do both.
Wags and winter wiggles,
