Rainy Days and Pawsie Blankets
Woof woof, lovely readers!
It's been raining this week. A lot. The kind of rain that soaks your ears before you’ve even finished a wee. The kind of rain that makes even the most enthusiastic spaniel turn back at the door and give their hooman a look that says, “You must be joking.”
But let me tell you—rainy days at Pawsies are their own kind of magic.
A Day in the Wet Life of Boomer:
- Early morning patrol: I stepped outside. Got one paw wet. Immediately reconsidered. Went back to bed. Solid decision.
- Indoor activities: Blanket snuggles. Gentle snoring. Chewing a toy with one eye open, just in case someone opens the treat cupboard.
- Snack negotiations: Successfully exchanged a soggy sock for a gravy bone. That’s what I call a fair deal.
The Art of the Snuggle
Rainy days are prime-time for sofa snuggles. Joolz always sighs and says, “Boomer, that’s my seat,” but we both know I’ve claimed it. I just let her sit next to me. Sharing is caring, after all.
And when the Buddys are here? Oh, it’s a pile of paws, tails, and contented snoozing. We may look like chaos when we’re outside, but indoors? We’re basically a living, breathing hot water bottle.
Final Thoughts
So yes, the garden’s muddy. My ears are damp. But do I look bothered? Not one bit. Because I’ve got warm paws, a full belly, and hoomans who bring me treats just for being adorable.
Until the sun comes back (or someone invents a rainproof biscuit), you’ll find me curled up on my favourite blanket, dreaming of squirrels I’ve yet to chase.
Stay cosy out there,
