Privacy & analytics
We want booking a stay to feel easy. Here is what we measure, why we measure it and how you can switch browser analytics off. No popups to wrestle with.
Your choice
Browser analytics is on for this browser.
One click changes this browser’s preference for six months. Switching off clears our browser and session references and stops new browser journey events. It also prevents our public pages from loading Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta tracking on your next page load. It does not delete information already recorded or change essential sign-in cookies.
The preference applies to this browser on this website. Please set it separately on other browsers or Pawsies domains. Clearing cookies removes the saved preference.
What Pawsies measures
Our own tracker records public page paths, the page where a visit began, broad device type, referral or campaign source and steps through booking. Random browser and session references help us understand repeat visits and where people get stuck. We do not add session recordings, keystroke capture or names and contact details to these browser events. Full IP addresses and raw link query strings are not stored in our own analytics tables.
Where a successful booking or an existing customer sign-in gives us a reliable customer reference, we can link visits to Meet & Greet bookings, boarding quotes and stay requests. These are customer-linked records, not anonymous statistics. We use them to understand booking journeys and improve the service.
Quotes and bookings
We keep records of Meet & Greet bookings, their outcomes, boarding quotes and requests for stays. Quote records include proposed dates and times, number of dogs, availability indications, the quoted price and applicable pricing rules. They let us see whether people request those dates later, rather than assuming that every explored price was rejected.
Switching browser analytics off does not stop records needed to handle your enquiry, quote or booking. It also does not remove existing customer records or server-side quote and booking analysis. To ask about information held against your customer record or object to its use for analysis, contact us or email boomer@pawsies.uk.
Google, Meta and other services
Unless browser analytics is switched off, the site also loads Google Analytics 4, Google Ads tags and a Meta pixel. These services receive browser and page information and may use their own identifiers, cookies and attribution systems. Advertising measurement is separate from Pawsies’ own booking statistics.
You can read Google’s privacy information and Meta’s privacy information. Previously collected data remains subject to their policies. Embedded chat and other services have their own privacy arrangements; this switch is for the analytics and advertising tags described above.
Storage and access
Our browser reference lasts up to 400 days and the session reference expires after 30 minutes without activity. Detailed first-party analytics is configured for 400-day retention; deletion happens when the retention cleanup runs. Booking and customer records have separate retention needs. The hosting server also keeps access logs, which can contain IP addresses; these are separate from our analytics tables.
Conversion reports are available only to authorised Pawsies administrators. Reports prepared for analysis use anonymous customer labels and omit names and contact details. If a report is shared with an analysis provider, that provider receives the report content.
We do not claim that removing a popup makes all tracking exempt from privacy rules. Our customer-linked journey analysis and advertising tags go beyond anonymous service statistics.
