Every Hooman Needs a Break

Making sure you've got a place to stay when your hoomans are away

Woof woof, friends!
Boomer here — currently reporting live from my holiday with Aunty Lee (10/10, would recommend the snacks).

Now, while my hoomans are off in a place called Hergla — which sounds sunny but suspiciously lacking in dog beds — it got me thinking…

Even the best hoomans need a little break sometimes. And that’s okay! In fact, it’s very okay.

Here are some of the reasons I’ve seen hoomans sneak off for a bit:

✈️ *1. Holidays to “No Dogs Allowed” Places*
Apparently there are beaches and restaurants where dogs can’t go. Outrageous, I know. But it happens.

? *2. Secret Christmas Shopping Missions*
This is when they leave with empty bags and come back hiding something squeaky. I pretend I don’t know. I definitely know.

?️ *3. The Great DIY Chaos*
New carpets, loud tools, strange humans carrying planks through the house… it’s not exactly ideal for zoomies.

? *4. When Hoomans Need Treatment or Rest*
Sometimes hoomans need time to get better — and they worry about us as much as we worry about them. That’s when a safe, cosy place for a dog to stay really matters.

Now here’s the important bit:

? *Every dog needs a plan.*

I’m lucky - I’ve got Pawsies and Aunty Lee on my “Where Boomer Can Stay” list. Not all pups think about this… but they should.

Because when your hoomans need to dash off, recharge, recover, or buy you a surprise...
...it’s good to know you’ve got somewhere familiar, friendly, and full of treats.

So tell your hooman:
“Please sort me out a place to stay — just in case. I don’t mind! I’ll make friends, eat snacks, and send you photos looking adorable.”

Hoomans get their break.
Dogs stay safe and happy.
Everyone wins.

Until next time,
